Plasma TV
When inert mixtures of noble gases are electrically turned on within the glass screens of a Plasma TV, it is turned into plasma. This effect is what creates the pristine quality of the picture and incredible viewing angle. A lower amount of parts keeps the television lighter, and wall mountable.
Plasma TV Burn In
The idea of destroying a large investment like a Plasma TV is scary, and that's why many people are apprehensive about HDTVs due to burn-in. Plasmas used to have images burned into the screen from TV station logos and newsboxes, but newer technologies fix this imperceptably most of the time. LCDs never had to worry about it. Tie.
Plasma TV HDTV
Looking for the right HDTV can be difficult when choosing between LCD and Plamsa TV. Up until very recently, HDTVs were not able to attain the higher 1080p resolutions, although they can now. Although, the difference between 1080p and 720p is not perceivable even at 50 inches. This is a tie.
Plasma TV Lifespan
When investing a large portion of money on an HDTV such as a Plasma or LCD TV the concept of lifespan comes into play. Plasma have what is called a "half-life", or time it takes where it only half as bright as it was new. Most are 30,000 hours. At 24 hours a day, that is 3.5 years, and 10 years at 8 hours a day. Lifespan is a moot point now.
